About the Board (Looking for volunteers!)

Dr. Bob Sellani - President, brings a wealth of experience to the Northern Arizona Blues Alliance as a NAZBA Founding Member in 2013. In Arizona, for the last three years, he was the drummer for winning IBC area Arizona bands and competed in Memphis, making it to the semi finals with the Arizona Blues Allstars, w/Renee Rice in 2017. As a drummer in South Florida, he has played with some of the top Blues musicians, including Darrell Raines (Albert King award winner), Joey Gilmore, (International Blues Competition winner 2005), Matt “Guitar” Murphy of the “Blues Brothers” movie, Josh Rowand, (International Blues Competition finalist), Albert Castigla (3 time Blues Music Award nominee), Dave Duncun, (Blues Music Award winner), J. P. Soars, (International Blues Competition winner 2009), and Billy Gibson, Memphis Entertainer of the Year. In addition, he formed and directed the South Florida International Blues Festival from 2007-2009. This premier three-day event featured 33 bands and three stages on the campus of Nova Southeastern University, with national acts including Janiva Magness, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Joe Bonamassa. Dr. Bob also served as the Treasurer for the South Florida Blues Society, winner of the 2008 “Keepin the Blues Alive” award for the Best Blues Organization in the country. Lastly, Dr. Bob has seventeen years’ experience in the corporate world, where he worked for companies such as Pratt and Whitney and Ernst and Young Consultants and twenty years’ experience in academia, where he recently left Nova Southeastern University as an Associate Professor and former Director of the MBA program. He is a currently an adjunct faculty member at Northern Arizona University.

Christian Michael Berry, Prescott Area Vice President, has been a seminal to West Coast and Southwest Music, Television, and Film since as early as 1969.  He has worked as a session player, record producer, production coordinator, promotions director & record label owner. He has served on various committees for the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences, (who among other things sponsors the Grammy Awards). He has worked for such artists as Billy Preston, Golden Earring, Stone Temple Pilots, and countless others. In addition, Chris served in a number of capacities for 3 seasons on the cult television series "Tales from the Darkside". He has lent his talents to such films as Nightmare on Elm Street 3, House, My Demon Lover, and others including numerous commercials. He also produced 2 television series, "West Side Hip Hop" and the "Roots of Music Documentary Series". He has been performing with his own band in Arizona since 1998. The alumni list of Chris's band mates reads like a "Who's Who?" of American Rock music. His current group, "The Electric Swamp Poets" recently released their first album which is receiving world wide radio air play in the Blues, and Americana and Roots Music markets.

Scott O'Neal, Director-at-Large, is a guitar player, singer, and lyricist and has been playing music most of his life. After moving to Prescott in 1998, he formed his first band here and since has fronted the Scott O'Neil band with some of the best musicians the area has to offer as well as sitting in with Arizona's finest Blues players. He has also owned and operated a bar and music venue in Prescott on two occasions and is a Board Member of the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame and the Arizona Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame.
